The COVID-19 pandemic and police violence have shown us how deep this issue is in the United States1<\/a><\/sup>. It’s clear that we need to tackle this problem head-on1<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Research has shown that Black and white Americans face different challenges. A study by SIEPR\u2019s Peter Klenow and Chad Jones looked into how to close the welfare gap1<\/a><\/sup>. The Black Lives Matter movement also shows how \u7cfb\u7edf\u6027\u79cd\u65cf\u4e3b\u4e49<\/b> affects us all1<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p>\n We must understand how \u7cfb\u7edf\u6027\u79cd\u65cf\u4e3b\u4e49<\/b> shapes our world. Wealth disparities are also huge4<\/a><\/sup>, showing deep economic gaps. In healthcare, Black Americans face higher death rates from diseases compared to whites4<\/a><\/sup>.
